It really looks like a cheap tuning part that would have been slapped on an otherwise perfectly nice looking front end, the semi-thick plastic dashes are just horrible and the grille comes too close to the logo, its not looking well balanced .

On the last two pictures it looks nice, it almost looks like a Maserati grille on the second one (but unfortunately its not) :

Could use a body colored “leveling bar.” ( Those expensive chrome bar stickers they sell for trucks that look tacky.)

I don’t get the designers and the approvers any more. I know there are regulations but if you look around at grad student stuff you see really pretty designs. When the C8 came out I couldn’t believe they made it that ugly, there were so many amazing renderings that could have worked out to be a pretty car.

Y es, both BMW and the Corvettes have been having making worse designs for the last 3 or 4 generations, its very strange that no-one have reacted in between “let’s try to do it better this time or at least something totally different and unique”.

As a sidenote, the dashes on the front grille can be made better by not putting a huge spacing between them (but it would still not save the whole “ thing” ), for example on the 508 they made it look not too bad   :
